“Gamecocks Star WR Locks in 2025 Return with Major Garnet Trust NIL Deal”

South Carolina Gamecocks wide receiver Nyckoles “Nyck” Harbor has reaffirmed his commitment to the team by securing an NIL deal with the Garnet Trust, the university’s official NIL collective.

Harbor, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound sophomore, showcased his talents during the 2024 season with impressive stats: 24 receptions for 376 yards and three touchdowns, ranking second on the team behind tight end Joshua Simon. Known for his speed and athleticism, Harbor also made waves on the track, earning co-SEC Freshman of the Week honors and achieving personal bests of 10.11 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 20.20 seconds in the 200-meter dash, earning him second-team All-America recognition in both events.

Signing the NIL agreement with the Garnet Trust not only highlights Harbor’s value to the Gamecocks but also signals his commitment to the program for the upcoming 2025 season, as he prepares for eligibility in the NFL Draft. With quarterback LaNorris Sellers returning, the duo is set to lead South Carolina’s offense after a successful 9-4 campaign in 2024.

Harbor’s athletic journey began at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C., where he earned accolades as a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in football and track and field. His progress at the collegiate level positions him as a standout in the competitive SEC.

The Garnet Trust’s endorsement of Harbor underscores the increasing significance of NIL agreements in college sports, ensuring that top talents like Harbor receive the backing needed to excel in their collegiate careers and beyond.
