Former Alabama LB Jeremiah Alexander Opens Up About Transfer to Clemson
Jeremiah Alexander is embracing a new chapter in his college football journey, making the move from Alabama to Clemson to play under Dabo Swinney.
The redshirt junior spoke with reporters on Tuesday following Clemson’s spring practice, shedding light on what led him to choose the Tigers after entering the transfer portal.
Why Alexander Chose Clemson
Despite leaving Alabama, Alexander made it clear that his time with the Crimson Tide was invaluable.
“The time at Alabama, I wouldn’t trade it for nothing,” Alexander said. “I feel like it made me the man I am today.”

However, the opportunity to transfer and join Clemson’s elite defense was too good to pass up.
“Coach (Dabo) Swinney doesn’t take a lot of guys out of the portal. We brought in three this year. Just having that opportunity and that connect with Peter Woods made it a lot more easier and more efficient.”
A Fresh Start in the ACC
Now with Clemson, Alexander has the chance to showcase his full potential in the ACC this fall. With a fresh start and a new system, he’ll look to make an immediate impact for the Tigers’ defense.
