MiLaysia Fulwiley officially announced her commitment to LSU after entering the transfer portal earlier this month, sharing the news across her social media. Among the first to show support was South Carolina track and field star JaMeesia Ford, but her enthusiastic reaction sparked a wave of speculation among fans about her own future.
Fulwiley posted a photo of herself suited up in LSU gear on Instagram with the caption, “Geaux Tigers.”
Ford immediately responded in the comments, writing, “LFGGG 💜🐯!!!”
That alone had fans buzzing, but it was her second comment that really ignited the conversation. Ford added, “WE LIKEEEE THISSSSS 💛💜!!!”, prompting a flood of reactions.
One confused fan asked, “huh 🤨 wdym,” while another chimed in with, “no we don’t 😂.”
Meanwhile, some LSU fans were thrilled at the possibility of Ford joining Fulwiley, encouraging her with comments like, “you need to come over to run with coach shaver tooo!!! We need y’all both!!” and “we got room for you too!!!”

The connection between Ford and Fulwiley runs deeper than just shared admiration. According to The State, the two met at a women’s basketball and track and field event in 2023 and have been inseparable ever since. They made their relationship public on TikTok in March 2024 and have been celebrated widely.
“I’ve never really seen a couple that thrives like us,” Fulwiley shared with The State.
Both athletes have been each other’s biggest supporters, even winning Female Freshman of the Year honors together in April 2024. As Fulwiley put it, “if either one of us wins, it’s a W for both of us.”
Ford has made a name for herself on the track, winning a PanAm gold medal in the 4×400-meter relay and becoming a two-time NCAA champion.
