Manchester City are dealing with numerous injuries ahead of their Premier League clash against Brighton on Saturday.
The Blues, currently on a three-game losing streak, have the chance to move above Liverpool at the top of the table—at least temporarily—with a win at the Amex. During Friday’s press conference, Pep Guardiola shared the latest updates on his squad’s injury status.
While City are gradually seeing players return to fitness as the international break approaches, five senior players remain sidelined, and there are still uncertainties around others. Here’s the latest from the Etihad:

- Injury: Foot
- What we know: Stones is dealing with plantar fasciitis and has been left out of the England squad. He will not play until after the international break.

Ruben Dias

- What we know: Dias was subbed off at halftime during the cup tie against Spurs and is expected to remain out until after the international break.

Jack Grealish

- What we know: Grealish picked up an injury in training prior to the Champions League match against Sparta Prague. Though he’s been included in the England squad, Guardiola confirmed he won’t play against Brighton.

Kevin De Bruyne
- Injury: Thigh
- What we know: De Bruyne made a brief appearance off the bench in Lisbon, marking his first game time since September. While a start against Brighton is unlikely, the Belgian is back in contention.

Rodri
- Injury: Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL)
- What we know: Rodri has suffered a significant knee injury, ruling him out for the rest of the season. City hopes he’ll be fit to begin the 2025-26 season.
