CHECK THIS OUT: Mohamed Elneny is back in action during Arsenal training.

With his lengthy injury layoff almost over, Mohamed Elneny is back in action during Arsenal training.

According to the club’s official website, Mohamed Elneny, an Arsenal midfielder, is back in action during training as he nears the end of a protracted injury layoff.

Although the 31-year-old has not played since suffering a serious knee injury last season, he has been back in training for some time.

Elneny, who is still recovering, has not been included in any matchday squads for 2023–24.

At London Colney this afternoon, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta put some of the first-team players through their paces.

The Egypt international was seen running over one of the young players (Khayon Edwards).

As the games start to pile up, having Elneny available for selection will give the Gunners a much-needed boost.

On September 20, Arsenal will host PSV Eindhoven to open their Champions League campaign.

If they want to compete successfully in all four competitions this season, they will need a very deep squad.

Ben White has been moved back to right defender as Thomas Partey is still out for a few weeks, and Arsenal needs more options in the middle of the field.

Elneny might be used when the North Londoners visit Goodison Park to take on Everton on Sunday.

If the defensive midfielder finds the trip to Merseyside to be too soon, Tottenham Hotspur’s matchup the following day might be the ideal opportunity for him to make a comeback.

Elneny extended his contract with Arsenal in February, keeping him with the team through the summer of 2024.

After a recent string of injuries, he is eager to start making an impact for the first team.

The Gunners’ longest-serving player and former Basel star will be eager to play this season; he appears to be getting closer to returning to action.
