The UEFA Champions League matchup between Mikel Arteta and PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night will not feature Gabriel Martinelli.

Martinelli was taken off the field in the 24th minute of our 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Mikel said, “He felt something in his hamstring and we need to do some further tests to assess if there is any big damage or not.
But he will be out for tomorrow’s game, that’s for sure.”.

The only member of the team from our previous Champions League run in 2016–17, Mohamed Elneny, is still on the road to recovery after suffering an injury back in January.

He’s in a good place, obviously it’s been a while and it’s been a very significant injury, but I think he’s in the latter stages of that rehab process, the manager said in his pre-game press conference.
