ARSENAL RECEIVED BOOST: Man City star Rodri’s dismissal for grabbing an opponent’s throat gives Arsenal a huge boost.

Ahead of Manchester City vs. Arsenal clash.

On October 8, Arsenal will play a Man City team without Rodri.

After receiving a red card against Nottingham Forest, Rodri, a star for Manchester City, will not play against Arsenal in the Premier League on October 8.

After allegedly grabbing Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White by the throat, the midfielder was let go.

Just one minute into the second half, Rodri attempted to shepherd the ball out of play while being pressured by Gibbs-White but appeared to be pushed by the Englishman.

Before things got out of hand, the City star retaliated by pushing his opponent back.

Before pushing Gibbs-White forward, the Spaniard appeared to grab his throat.

Other players sped over to split the pair apart after the Forest man fell to the ground.

Rodri received a straight red card from referee Anthony Taylor for acting violently, which will keep him out of City’s next three games.

Prior to going to Wolves on September 30, Pep Guardiola’s team plays Newcastle on Wednesday.

For City’s Champions League match against RB Leipzig on October 4, Rodri will be available.

The former Atletico Madrid player will be compelled to miss the Premier League match against Arsenal on October 8, which is crucial.

After losing his composure during Saturday’s Premier League match between Manchester City and Nottingham Forest, Rodri received a straight red card.

In order to start their Premier League season with six straight victories, City entered the game at the Etihad Stadium.

The team of Pep Guardiola got off to a quick start in Manchester, scoring twice in the first 15 minutes.

The first goal came from Phil Foden in the seventh minute.

Kyle Walker was selected by Rodri with a beautiful pass inside the box. The ball was pulled back for Foden by the lightning-quick right-back, who smashed it into the bottom corner.

Erling Haaland’s goal off of Matheus Nunes’ cross made it 2-0 shortly after.

City dominated the game for the remainder of the half, and it appeared as though they would easily score another three points.

Disaster, however, struck shortly into the second half when they were reduced to 10 men.

Manchester City vs. Nottingham Forest: Rodri is dismissed.

After tussling with Morgan Gibbs-White, Rodri was given the boot.

The English midfielder sent Rodri to the ground shortly after the second half began when Forest moved the ball forward.

Before they collided in the corner, the City star rose to his feet and recovered possession of the ball.

When Gibbs-White attempted to win the ball back, Rodri did not respond well and squared up to him before putting his hands on his neck.

As Rodri was given a straight red card by referee Anthony Taylor, Gibbs-White collapsed to the ground in agony.

Simply insane behavior from Rodri.

He simply had no reason to respond in that manner. City had a clear path to victory but now faces challenges in their quest for a second victory.

There will be more to come.
