Messi has joined MLS side Inter Miami for the 22/23 season after his contract with French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain expired.
Now that the season has ended in the United States, there is speculation that Messi could return to his former club Barcelona on loan before the start of the new MLS season.
Now, transfer expert Romano has given an update on Messi’s future on his YouTube channel.
“He will not be loaned to a club. Many hoped Messi would return to Europe before the start of the new MLS season in February, like David Beckham and Thierry Henry.
“I heard that Leo Messi always had one thing in mind: to stay at Inter Miami and not be loaned to Barcelona or any other club.

He will compete for Argentina’s national team in November and rest in December.
Messi is expected to return to training in the first week of January and play against Inter Miami in February.
Romano added: “Remember.

Ahead of the Ballon d’Or later this month, Messi is the eighth favorite to win the award after an incredible year.
The 36-year-old played a key role in leading Argentina to World Cup glory in Qatar.
Since Messi joined Inter Miami, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 14 appearances in all competitions.
However, despite the signings of Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, Inter Miami failed to advance to the playoffs.
