BARÇA NEWS Official: Barcelona squad list to face Real Sociedad | La Liga

Barcelona face a tough challenge at Real Sociedad on Saturday night as they look to bounce back from last week’s El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid.

Ahead of a tough test at Anoeta, Barcelona coach Javi Hernández has announced his squad for the match.

The biggest news is that key midfielder Pedri has been given the medical green light to return to the national team after a break of over two months.

However, midfielder Frenkie de Jong is yet to fully recover from his injury in September and is yet to feature again for Barca.

The likes of Rafinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Conde also returned to the El Clásico squad, but Sergi Roberto was absent.

Barca Athletic captain Marc Casado is also on the list, but team regular Marc Giou recently represented Spain at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Expected lineup Barcelona vs Real Sociedad ahead of the important La Liga match at Reale Arena this Saturday.

Barcelona face Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena on Saturday night as they look to bounce back with a dominant win in La Liga.

The Catalan giants recently suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid, causing their momentum to stall ahead of this clash.

Xavi will organize his team in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to the starting lineup in this match.

Robert Lewandowski will spearhead Barca’s attack at the back of the field.

4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Real Sociedad Defence Marc-Andre ter Stegen will function in between the sticks for the Catalan giants after he shipped in a couple of goals in his last outing.

Andreas Christensen will operate alongside Jules Kounde at the heart of Barca’s backline as they try to keep things tidy at the back during the game.

Joao Cancelo will try to give a good account of himself as the right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back.

Xavi will give both of them the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Marcos Alonso will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield: Gavi, Oriol Romeu and Ilkay Gundogan will anchor the midfield for Barcelona as they look to establish their dominance over the opposition in the middle of the park.

All three of them would be instructed to move the ball well so that the Catalan club can engineer enough chances to win this contest.
Fermin Lopez will be available for selection on the bench as he awaits his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.

Attack: Joao Felix will try to put in a productive performance on the left flank while Raphinha hopes to make a difference from the right.
Robert Lewandowski will lead the charge for Barca down the middle.

He will be eager to get his name on the scoresheet at the Reale Arena this weekend.
Ferran Torres will be on the bench and could influence the match in the final half if Barca need a goal at that time.
