Exclusive: A Liverpool FC expert makes a fascinating new transfer claim regarding Mohamed Salah.

Before the summer transfer window opens, journalist Neil Jones of Liverpool FC has offered some fascinating new information about the situation involving Mohamed Salah.

Speaking only to CaughtOffside for his Daily Briefing column, Jones hinted that there may be cause for concern regarding Salah’s possible decision to resign from his position and join the Saudi Pro League at the end of this campaign.

The Egypt international was heavily linked to Saudi clubs during the summer, and it has appeared that the story may not be finished. However, Jones has discussed the 31-year-old’sambitionsand how they may influence his decisions.

Salah is one of the greatest players in the world and a vital member of this Liverpool team, so there’s a chance he’ll be more inclined to stay and establish himself as not only a club legend but also one of the best players in Europe.

For the time being, Jones believes that LFC won’t be able to find Salah a temporary replacement while he’s away at the AFCON this winter, but he also hinted that the past few months may have convinced Salah not to be the next big name to commit to the Saudi Pro League project.

Of course Wataru Endo and Mohamed Salah are losses in midfield, but they still have four excellent attacking options, and if needed, they can also use Harvey Elliott and/or Dominik Szoboszlai off the right flank, according to Jones.

“Liverpool generally avoids using such short-termism in their hiring practices; the few times they have—Arthur Melo, for instance—it hasn’t worked out. They do not fill in two-week gaps; instead, they consider the greater picture.

“The large number of players connected to Liverpool is not surprising. The cost of admission to such a large club is such that their name is included whenever a potential customer shows up or speaks
