Speedhouse Racing confirms new signing for the 2025 Rookie Challenge season

Live Report: Speedhouse Racing Confirms Jose Antonio Penalta Yague for 2025 NASCAR Euro Series

Speedhouse Racing is gearing up for an exciting 2025 NASCAR Euro Series season, and their latest announcement highlights a rising talent in the sport. Jose Antonio Penalta Yague, a 17-year-old from Valencia, Spain, has been confirmed to compete in the Rookie Challenge. This marks a significant step in his racing career after successfully graduating from the Speedhouse Winter Camp Driver Recruitment Tests in November 2024.

Lasserre’s Vision for the Future

Lucas Lasserre, team owner of Speedhouse Racing and a mentor to many young drivers entering EuroNASCAR, expressed his enthusiasm for Penalta’s potential. “I am very happy to confirm Jose Antonio Penalta Yague,” said Lasserre. “He is a pure young Spanish talent with amazing experience and great results in karting. He has won several races, scored numerous podium finishes, and even secured three championships in a row. When he tested the car at the Circuits de Vendée in Fontenay-le-Comte, France, I was truly impressed by his skills.”

Penalta’s Racing Journey

Penalta’s introduction to Speedhouse came through Dani Briz, a current Speedhouse driver. Despite starting his motorsports journey at the relatively late age of 13, Penalta quickly made a name for himself with impressive performances in karting. Reflecting on this milestone, he shared his excitement:
“I am very happy to join Speedhouse and Lucas Lasserre in the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series. This is the next step in building my professional racing career. NASCAR is one of the most important brands in motorsports, and I’m thrilled to begin this journey. I loved the atmosphere in the team during testing and feel confident about this decision.”

The Road Ahead

Penalta will be part of the Speedhouse Academy Driver Program, which is designed to prepare young talents for the OPEN and PRO championships in the EuroNASCAR series. For the 2025 season, Penalta will focus on the revamped Rookie Challenge, which adopts a time-attack format, while the Club classification will remain based on reference times set by race control.

This marks the beginning of what promises to be an exciting career for Penalta in EuroNASCAR, as Speedhouse Racing continues to develop future stars under Lasserre’s expert guidance.
