Amon-Ra St. Brown Steals the Spotlight with Bold Blue Hair at Pistons-Warriors Game

Amon-Ra St. Brown Brings Back Honolulu Blue Hair Ahead of Lions’ Playoff Run

The Detroit Lions are riding high this season, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is making a bold statement off the field as well. The Pro Bowl star unveiled his striking Honolulu Blue hair Thursday night while attending the Pistons vs. Warriors game in Detroit, a nod to the team’s playoff push.

St. Brown, who first debuted the iconic blue hairstyle during the Lions’ historic 2023 playoff run, confirmed that the colorful look has returned.

“You wanted to go with the blue hair again for the playoffs?” a reporter asked St. Brown courtside.

“I did, I had to do it,” St. Brown said confidently, adding that his girlfriend is fully supportive. “She loves it. She loves it either way, so we’re all good.”

The Lions finished the regular season with a franchise-best 15-2 record, clinching the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. With a bye week to rest and prepare, the team—and its fans—are ready for what they hope will be another deep postseason run.

Lions Coordinators in High Demand for Head Coaching Roles

While the Lions enjoy their week off, their top coordinators are taking full advantage of the opportunity to explore head coaching opportunities. Both offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn are generating significant buzz in the NFL coaching carousel.

Ben Johnson: The Hot Commodity

Johnson, who has been on every team’s radar for two consecutive offseasons, has a packed schedule. He’s set to interview with the Raiders and Patriots on Friday, followed by the Bears and Jaguars on Saturday.

Aaron Glenn: A Rising Star

Meanwhile, Glenn is also a sought-after candidate, receiving six interview requests. However, he declined an offer from the Patriots, focusing on meetings with the Jets (Thursday), Saints and Raiders (Friday), and Jaguars and Bears (Sunday).

Notably, Glenn is considered the favorite for the head coaching job in New Orleans, where he has strong ties as both a former player and coach.

The Lions’ Coaching Future

Head coach Dan Campbell might soon see his staff branch out into new leadership roles across the league, potentially establishing a Dan Campbell coaching tree.

If either Johnson or Glenn lands a head coaching job, it will highlight the Lions’ success in developing coaching talent, a testament to the culture Campbell has built in Detroit.

This bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for the Lions’ coordinators. Without it, their availability for interviews might have been limited, potentially narrowing their opportunities.

As the Lions prepare for their postseason journey, the team’s success continues to make waves both on and off the field.
