Monaco to make new offer to Arsenal to purchase Balogun.

This summer, according to talkSPORT, AS Monaco is expected to make an offer to Arsenal for Folarin Balogun that is greater than £35 million.

The striker had a standout season last year after making a season-long loan move to Stade de Reims in the summer. In 37 Ligue 1 appearances, he scored 21 goals and recorded two assists.

There were concerns about whether the Gunners would give the 22-year-old the chance to prove his worth in the Premier League after he demonstrated his talent in the French top flight.

It’s been said that Balogun wants to play regular first-team football, but Mikel Arteta can’t guarantee it since the team already has plenty of offensive firepower. Therefore, it has reportedly been decided by the North London club to sell him to raise money to bolster the team’s other positions.

Numerous teams in Europe, including Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur, have previously expressed interest in acquiring Balogun. In contrast, Spurs never formally expressed interest in signing the 22-year-old while the Nerazzurri were unable to broker a deal for him.

Balogun departs from Arsenal.

Currently, talkSPORT is reporting that Monaco is preparing to make a bid of more than £35 million to sign the striker’s services this summer.

But according to the report, the Ligue 1 team will have a difficult time signing Balogun because Chelsea is also considering a move for him and has already had preliminary discussions with the player’s representatives.

Arsenal reportedly wants £50 million to allow their star player to leave this summer, so it will be interesting to see if they decide to accept Monaco’s offer, if they make one, or stick to their original asking price.

Following Jurrien Timber’s serious knee injury, Arsenal appears to be looking to sign a new defender to take his place. Mohammed Kudus appears to be another item on Arteta’s summer shopping list along with a defender.

Due to the fact that the transfer deadline is rapidly approaching, the North London club will need to quickly trim its squad before turning its attention to bolstering its offensive capabilities.
