Following Arsenal’s concerning setback before their match with Man City, Bukayo Saka’s injury has been updated.

Bukayo Saka is questionable for Arsenal’s pivotal match against Premier League champions Manchester City after being forced off during the first half of a Champions League loss to Lens on Tuesday.

Bukayo Saka’s fitness has been updated by Mikel Arteta.

Bukayo Saka’s chances of playing in Sunday’s Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester City have been painted in a negative light by Mikel Arteta.

The English winger was substituted after just 34 minutes in Tuesday’s 2-1 Champions League loss at Lens.

With only one point separating the two teams in the title race, the Gunners are scheduled to host Pep Guardiola’s team at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.

Saka, however, appears unlikely to be a part of the hosts’ plans after Norwegian journalist Arilas Ould-Sada quoted Arteta as saying that his star’s injury “doesn’t look good.”.

He was replaced by Fabio Vieira in Lens, and Arteta now has to make a difficult choice before a pivotal match against titleholders City.

In the first half, Arteta attempted to backheel a ball and felt a muscular pain, he told reporters at the post-game press conference.

We had to remove him because he was uneasy.

“We don’t have any additional information. It was large enough to prevent him from continuing the game, which causes us concern. I have no idea if he will be able to attend the weekend.

“.

Let us know in the comments section below whether Arsenal will finally win the Premier League this year.

Before Tuesday’s loss, Arteta had come under pressure to rest Saka.

The manager responded, “No, he was really looking forward to playing like every player.

He didn’t need persuading to continue during such a hectic time in this season.

Night of the Champions League was significant.

“.

After Saka suffered an Achilles injury late in the previous season, Arteta had to deal with pressure to rest Saka.

Saka has already dealt with injuries this season. And some fans criticized the manager for keeping his most valuable player on the field with the City match just around the corner.

The Spaniard continued by saying that Tuesday’s setback was more of a “knock” than it was connected to any of the player’s prior injuries.

That might not be sufficient, though, to quell the ire of fans who were miffed that he even made an appearance in the middle of the week.

Adrien Thomasson and Elye Wahi’s goals overshadowed Gabriel Jesus’ opening goal as Arsenal lost in France, putting an end to their unbeaten record at the ten-game mark. The north Londoners are still unbeaten at home, but title rivals City will seriously challenge that record on Sunday.
