RB Leipzig vs. Manchester City (UEFA Champions League Group Stage) confirmed lineups.

For their matchup against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night at the Red Bull Arena in the UEFA Champions League, Pep Guardiola has selected his Manchester City squad.

With a win this week in eastern Germany, the defending European champions will move three points clear atop their group. Josko Gvardiol, who left Leipzig for Manchester City during the most recent summer transfer window, will make his first appearance for Leipzig.

In this season’s competition, Manchester City overcame a deficit to defeat Crvena zvezda at the Etihad Stadium by a score of 3-1, while RB Leipzig defeated BSC Young Boys away from home 1-3 in Bern.

On Wednesday night, Pep Guardiola and his team will look to avenge two straight losses against Newcastle United and Wolves in the Premier League and Carabao Cup, respectively.

However, Rodri is a welcome addition to the City manager’s options in Saxony as the Spanish defensive midfielder is not subject to the three-game domestic football suspension he was given after receiving a red card against Nottingham Forest two weeks ago.

The additions of John Stones and Bernardo Silva, a versatile midfielder and center back who both returned to full first-team practice on Tuesday morning after respective layoffs due to injury, have also improved Manchester City’s options.

Manchester City’s lone injured player is still Kevin De Bruyne, who underwent surgery for a hamstring issue back in August and isn’t expected to play again until early 2024.
