Due to the injury to Bukayo Saka, Thierry Henry has urged Eddie Nketiah, Leandro Trossard, and Kai Havertz to step up for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal against Manchester City.
It doesn’t look good for Mikel Arteta or Arsenal, but there are now real concerns that their star right back won’t be available for the early Premier League title match against Manchester City on Sunday.
Tuesday night’s 2-1 Champions League loss by RC Lens to Arsenal saw Bukayo Saka limp off the field.
Following that unfortunate development, Thierry Henry mentioned Hale-End star Eddie Nketiah, summer signing Kai Havertz, and January acquisition Leandro Trossard in order to’make sure’ their teammate isn’t going to be missed if he is unavailable, as he stated to CBS Sports on Paramount+ (03/10/23 at 10:00 pm).
While the loss in France will hurt Arsenal’s fans, players, and manager.
It will hurt even more if Bukayo Saka isn’t there, possibly longer than just the weekend.
“Once again, it’s going to be the job of Eddie Nketiah, the job of a Trossard, the job of a Kai Havertz, that came, to show that he can make sure we don’t think about Bukayo, if he’s not playing at the weekend, so that’s another thing,” said Henry.
Saka’s injury was a warning sign.
The injury to Saka was predictable, so Mikel Arteta can’t be surprised.
Saka hardly trained in the weeks leading up to the Bournemouth game after suffering an injury in the north London derby, and was eventually taken off after being roughed up.
Many fans argued over Saka’s participation in the matchup against RC Lens and whether or not he would get any rest given the circumstances.
Well, those who demanded that the Hale-End star take a break will be yelling and shouting at Arteta for his poor decision-making right about now.
