Declan Rice’s amazing last minute goal against Manchester United wins award.

A goal by Rice for Manchester United wins Goal of the Month.

Our September goal of the month award goes to Declan Rice for his incredible late strike against Manchester United.

With 32% of the votes from the six-person shortlist, the midfield player narrowly defeated fellow summer signing Alessia Russo to win the prize.

In the sixth minute of stoppage time at Emirates Stadium against the Red Devils, Declan had his first brilliant moment while wearing our jersey.

Declan managed to chest it down to his feet as Bukayo Saka swung a corner to the back post.

..

He swung his right foot at the ball, swerving and deceiving Andre Onana between the United posts as he did so, scoring his first goal for the Gunners and igniting wild celebrations inside our house.

Declan said the following after the game: “It’s amazing and what we play football for, to score and feel the stadium erupt with the sigh of relief that we got the three points from such a huge fixture.

“.

Declan, who was named our men’s Player of the Month for August, has now won one of our club awards for the second consecutive month.
