“From NCAA Heartbreak to WNBA Dreams in Just 8 Days: Sania Feagin’s Incredible Journey Hits the Screen”

A new documentary chronicling Sania Feagin’s whirlwind path from college basketball’s Final Four to the WNBA hardwood is now available for streaming.

Titled “Fastest Six Weeks in Sports,” the film captures the hectic stretch between the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament and the start of the WNBA season. The project follows Feagin, fellow rookie Georgia Amoore, and veteran guard Kelsey Plum as they navigate one of the busiest transitions in sports.

The documentary, presented by Religion of Sports, Ensemble, and Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment, is available to watch for free on Roku.

For Feagin, the pace was relentless. She went from losing in the national championship game to attending the WNBA Draft just eight days later. Within two weeks, she was already in training camp preparing for her rookie season.

Amoore’s journey unfolded differently but was equally challenging. After Kentucky was knocked out in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on a missed game-winner, she faced another setback with a season-ending knee injury before her professional career could take off.

The project was directed by Lauren Fisher, vice president and creative director at Religion of Sports, who also co-directed In the Arena: Serena Williams.

“This six-week window represents everything that makes women’s sports so compelling – raw talent, authentic storytelling, and moments that transcend sport,” Fisher said. “Alongside some incredible partners, we’re proud to spotlight these athletes during such a pivotal time in their careers.”

The film also highlights Plum, a nine-year WNBA veteran, who wrapped up her first season with the Los Angeles Sparks—where she and Feagin shared the court as teammates.
