“LaNorris Sellers Stuns Texas A&M With a Jaw-Dropping 50-Yard Bomb to Put Gamecocks on Top!”

LaNorris Sellers and the South Carolina Gamecocks are staring down a massive challenge as they head into Kyle Field to take on 9-0 Texas A&M on Saturday.

The programs are trending in completely opposite directions. South Carolina enters the matchup at 3-6, riding a four-game losing streak and needing to win out just to reach bowl eligibility. Texas A&M, on the other hand, remains firmly in the hunt for both an SEC Championship Game berth and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

For the Gamecocks, that means the pressure is off—there’s nothing to lose. And early on, they punched first. After grabbing a 3-0 lead, the Aggies answered with a field goal of their own. But South Carolina struck again on the next possession. Facing a 3rd-and-7 near midfield, Sellers delivered a perfect deep ball to Vanderius Jacobs for a 50-yard touchdown, putting USC ahead 10-3 with just under 5:30 left in the opening quarter.

Sellers couldn’t have placed the throw any better, as seen in the highlight clip.

Jacobs—now in his second season with South Carolina after transferring—came into the game with 343 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 21 catches, with those scores coming against South Carolina State and Vanderbilt.

For Sellers, the play marked just his eighth passing touchdown of the 2025 campaign following an 18-touchdown performance in 2024. He began the day with 1,536 passing yards on the season.
