“Nyck Harbor’s 64-Yard Game-Breaking Touchdown Bomb Shuts the Door on Virginia Tech as South Carolina Rolls to Victory”

South Carolina’s win over Virginia Tech came down to one play — and it was all Nyck Harbor needed to seal the deal.

With just under eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Harbor slipped past the Hokies’ secondary, and quarterback LaNorris Sellers delivered a perfect strike. The 64-yard touchdown grab put No. 13 South Carolina firmly in control of a 24-11 victory in Atlanta.

“Once Sellers had a clean pocket, the Hokies had no chance,” one observer noted, as Harbor sprinted into the end zone for the game-clinching score.

Up until that moment, Virginia Tech had kept things tight, trailing just 17-11 deep into the fourth quarter. But Sellers’ pinpoint throw — and Harbor’s burst of speed — flipped momentum for good.

The sophomore quarterback finished with 209 passing yards, including the dagger to Harbor, and added a 15-yard rushing touchdown on the opening drive to set the tone.

As for Harbor, the junior wideout put together a standout performance, leading the Gamecocks with three receptions for 99 yards. His highlight-reel touchdown was the exclamation point on South Carolina’s season-opening win.

Though time remained after the big strike, the Gamecocks never looked back. A late interception with under five minutes to play slammed the door shut and allowed Shane Beamer’s squad to celebrate in style.
