“Offseason Gigs: South Carolina Legend Lands Not One, But TWO Major Gigs!”

Aliyah Boston Balances WNBA Playoff Push With Two Offseason Roles

When the WNBA season wraps up in October, former South Carolina star Aliyah Boston won’t be taking much of a break. The Indiana Fever standout—currently locked in a semifinal battle against A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces for a shot at the WNBA Finals against the Phoenix Mercury—already has her offseason plans lined up.

According to Unrivaled Basketball, Boston is set to return to the 3-on-3 league this winter. Last season, she suited up for Team Vinyl in the Miami-based competition, helping her squad reach the championship game. She’ll be joined once again by fellow former Gamecock Allisha Gray, with full 2026 team rosters expected to be revealed later this year.

Not long after that announcement, Front Office Sports confirmed that Boston will also reprise her role as an analyst for NBC Sports and Peacock. Like last offseason, she will contribute to Big Ten women’s basketball coverage as both a studio presence and potential game analyst. Her insight was well-received during her first stint, making her a fan favorite in the broadcast space.

Boston has continued to shine on the court as well. Now in her third professional season, she’s already earned three WNBA All-Star selections. This year, she posted a career-high 15 points per game, while also averaging 3.7 assists, 8.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game, shooting an efficient 53.8% from the field. With her Fever just one win away from the WNBA Finals, she has the chance to cap her breakout season with her first championship appearance.

Her dominance is nothing new for South Carolina fans. During her storied Gamecock career, Boston collected nearly every accolade possible: National Champion, National Player of the Year, National Defensive Player of the Year, and four-time Lisa Leslie Award winner. She also remains South Carolina’s all-time leader in rebounds and double-doubles, cementing her place as one of the program’s greatest players.
