President Trump BREAK SILENCE About Alabama Wild Comeback beating South Carolina while speaking to U.S. troops

Trump Praises Alabama’s Comeback Win Over South Carolina During Speech to U.S. Troops in Japan

While addressing U.S. troops aboard the USS George Washington in Japan, former President Donald Trump couldn’t resist adding a dose of college football to his remarks — especially when he learned that the ship’s commanding officer, Captain Timothy Waits, is a big Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

Grinning, Trump shouted “Roll Tide!” to the crowd, adding that he’s long been an admirer of Alabama football. He also commented on the Crimson Tide’s dramatic 29-22 comeback victory over South Carolina last weekend — a game that nearly slipped away before Alabama rallied late.

“That was a hell of a game this week,” Trump said to Captain Waits. “I don’t know how the hell you pull that one out. If you didn’t win, I wouldn’t have mentioned it. I would have just introduced you — but you came back from oblivion. Isn’t it nice, coming back?”

Trump’s lighthearted football banter drew laughter from the troops, mixing patriotism with college pride.

Over the years, Trump has made several appearances at Alabama football games, attending at least one home game during each of his presidential terms. Most notably, he visited Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-Georgia matchup last season — which went on to become the most-watched regular-season game of the year.

Even overseas, it seems Trump keeps one eye on the Crimson Tide — and their knack for comebacks clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed.
