“‘She’s Scary Good!’ — LSU Stars and Kim Mulkey Can’t Stop Raving About Former Gamecock Milaysia Fulwiley”

“She’s Different”: LSU Stars and Kim Mulkey Rave About Former Gamecock Milaysia Fulwiley at SEC Tipoff

The buzz around Milaysia Fulwiley hasn’t slowed down since her stunning transfer from South Carolina to LSU — and her new teammates are loving every bit of what she brings to Baton Rouge.

During a recent interview at SEC Tipoff, LSU standouts Flau’jae Johnson, Hailey Van Lith (known by her handle @laywitdabutter), and head coach Kim Mulkey couldn’t hide their excitement about adding the electrifying guard to the Tigers’ roster.

Flau’jae on Milaysia: “She’s scary good”

Star guard Flau’jae Johnson didn’t hold back when describing Fulwiley’s impact in practice.

“Man, Milaysia is different,” Flau’jae said with a grin. “She’s fast, crafty, confident — everything you want in a teammate. Watching her go to work is scary, and playing with her makes all of us better.”

The LSU guard, who’s known for her own explosiveness, hinted that the combination of her and Fulwiley in the backcourt could be nightmarish for SEC defenses this season.

“It’s gonna be a scary year for real,” she added. “We’re coming for everything.”

Hailey Van Lith (Laywitdabutter) Adds: “She fits right in”

Veteran guard Hailey Van Lith, entering her second season under Mulkey, praised Fulwiley’s personality and energy.

“Milaysia just has that spark,” Van Lith said. “She came in confident but humble — ready to learn, but you can tell she was built for this. She fits our culture perfectly.”

Van Lith also noted how Fulwiley’s playstyle complements LSU’s uptempo offense.

“We love to push the pace, and Milaysia? She’s a one-woman fast break,” she laughed. “She’s going to bring fans out of their seats.”

Kim Mulkey: “She’s fearless — that’s what I love”

Head coach Kim Mulkey — never one to mince words — was equally enthusiastic.

“Milaysia Fulwiley is fearless,” Mulkey said. “She’s young, but she plays with a confidence that you just can’t teach. She’s got flair, but she’s also coachable, and that’s what makes her special.”

Mulkey, who has built LSU into a national powerhouse, said she expects Fulwiley to make an immediate impact.

“She’s going to be one of the most exciting players in women’s basketball,” Mulkey said. “And the scary part? She’s only getting started.”

A New Era of “Scary Hours” in Baton Rouge

With the defending national champions already stacked with talent, the addition of Milaysia Fulwiley could take LSU to another level. Her combination of speed, handles, and flair adds a dynamic edge to an already potent lineup.

Fans across the SEC — and especially those in Columbia — are watching closely. If early reactions from her LSU teammates are any indication, Fulwiley is about to turn Baton Rouge into her personal highlight reel.
