South Carolina women’s basketball revealed its official theme for the 2025-26 season on Monday night: “Beyond Measure.”
The program teased the announcement earlier in the day on social media before releasing a video around 7:30 p.m. Narrated by former Gamecock star Brea Beal, the video blended clips of current players training with highlights from South Carolina’s three national championships.
“How do you measure a dream? In points? In wins? In records broken?” Beal asks in the video. “Or is it in the quiet moments? The work when no one else is watching. Sweat that falls unnoticed. The hours no one counts. The legacy no one sees, until they do. More than a stat line, not just the headline, it’s beyond measure.”
This year’s theme logo ties together the mottos from previous seasons and features the uniform numbers of every player from the Dawn Staley era.
The choice of Beal as narrator reinforces the message—her career was defined not only by numbers but by leadership and intangibles. In its official release, South Carolina explained:
“A player’s value to a team is not measured just by her stat line but also by a myriad of other ways she elevates her team. Championships and accolades are not valuable just because of trophies in a case but also because they lift up a university, a city, a state. The value of the FAMS who support the team at Colonial Life Arena and around the country cannot be measured just by ticket sales, but also by the way they form a united community that supersedes all their differences.”
While recent theme reveals have grown into major events, this year’s announcement was more understated, resembling some of Staley’s earlier seasons.
South Carolina has established a tradition of season themes dating back to 2012-13. Previous official themes include:

With “Beyond Measure,” South Carolina once again sets a tone that reflects not just basketball success, but a deeper culture built under Dawn Staley’s leadership.
