Meet the Gamecocks’ New Dynamic Duo: The Cisse Brothers Ready to Lock Down the SEC Together!

Cisse Brothers Bring Brotherhood and Grit to Gamecock Football in 2025

While the Gamecock faithful already know about the Sellers and Kilgore siblings making waves in Columbia, there’s another pair of brothers ready to leave their mark on South Carolina football: Brandon and Cedric Cisse.

The Cisse duo, hailing from Sumter, South Carolina, are suiting up together for the first time at USC in 2025. Brandon, a cornerback who transferred from NC State in January, paved the way. Five months later, his younger brother Cedric joined the program as a preferred walk-on safety. Both brothers starred at Lakewood High School under coaches Larry Cornelius and former Gamecock Willie Offord.

“It’s been great,” Brandon told GamecockCentral. “We’ve shared a room since I was a little kid.”

Brandon brings SEC experience and maturity to the team after appearing in 22 games over two seasons with the Wolfpack. In 2024, he notched 28 tackles in nine appearances, playing in all 13 games for NC State.

Now making the transition to Shane Beamer’s SEC program, Brandon noted both the changes and similarities:
“There’s a lot of differences, but there’s a lot of similarities also,” he said. “Just trying to make sure you’re doing things the right way and how they do things here.”

Meanwhile, Cedric is just starting his college journey. After joining in the summer, he’s using offseason workouts to adjust to the demands of college football.
“It’s good. It’s different than high school, but it’s a good adjustment,” Cedric said. “Getting bigger, faster, stronger, being developed.”

Having Brandon on the same roster has made that transition smoother.
“It’s good having him there,” Cedric said. “It shows me really how to move as a collegiate football player… he’s always there and showing you how to eat and stuff like that.”

Brandon, in turn, is proud to play big brother both on and off the field.
“He knows I’m here if he ever needs anything, and I’m always gonna be his biggest support as if he was myself,” Brandon said.

Though Brandon’s transfer from the portal got significant attention, Cedric’s addition flew under the radar. But his older brother believes big things are coming.
“He’s tenacious… a little risk-taker,” Brandon said. “He likes to take chances on the ball. He’s got an elite skill set. Hopefully one day you guys can hear about his name like people talk about mine.”

Cedric looks up to Brandon’s instincts on the field.
“If I could take one thing from him, it’s his instinct,” he said. “He’s really talented with that.”

More than just teammates, the Cisse brothers share a deep bond built over years.
“I wake up and he’s right across from me,” Cedric shared. “It’s really just building that real relationship. It’s a real brotherhood that we have. We look out for each other. We love each other.”

In a Gamecock locker room filled with sibling duos, the Cisse brothers bring more than just talent — they bring family, loyalty, and a story worth watching unfold.
