“South Carolina Snags Four-Star Defensive Beast Andrew Harris in Signing Day Stunner!”

As the early signing period kicks off Wednesday, South Carolina football has officially begun locking in members of its 2026 recruiting class.

The latest signee to submit his paperwork is four-star linebacker Andrew Harris, a standout from Weddington High School in Matthews, North Carolina.

Although Harris is labeled as an EDGE in most recruiting databases, South Carolina plans to use him as a linebacker. Defensive coordinator Clayton White is known for generating pressure from the second level, meaning Harris will still have plenty of opportunities to disrupt plays in the backfield.

According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Harris is considered a top-20 prospect in North Carolina and sits at No. 381 nationally. He’s ranked No. 18 in the state and No. 36 among EDGE rushers. If his rating were applied strictly to the linebacker position, he would project as the No. 25 linebacker in the country.
