The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team has solidified itself as a powerhouse under legendary head coach Dawn Staley, who has led the program to three national championships in 2017, 2022, and 2024. At the heart of this success are standout players like Bree Hall, who recently wrapped up her senior season and left a lasting legacy.
Hall finished her fourth year at South Carolina averaging 6.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game, playing a key role in a dominant era for the Gamecocks. Following her final season, her father, Bryan Hall, expressed his gratitude to Coach Staley for the impact she had on Bree’s journey.

“We thank you so much for pouring into Breezy and giving her the opportunity to play there,” Bryan Hall said. “We are forever grateful.”
His message came in response to a touching tribute from Dawn Staley, who posted on social media to honor Bree Hall and spotlight her potential at the professional level.
“Bree Hall, you have been a winner on and off the court,” Staley wrote. “You came. You gave. You conquered. We were better because of you… now the WNBA and world gets what you gave us! Love you Breezy!”
Over her four-year career with the Gamecocks, Hall averaged 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists, and was a part of two national championship teams. South Carolina’s latest season ended with a tough loss to Geno Auriemma and the UConn Huskies in the national title game, but Hall’s contributions over the years remain a key part of the program’s golden era.
With her collegiate chapter now closed, Bree Hall is set to take the next step — and the WNBA could be her next big stage.
