South Carolina women’s basketball alumnae Aliyah Boston, Allisha Gray and A’ja Wilson are headed to Chicago. The trio is among the 22 players selected for the 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, set for Saturday, July 25 at United Center. It marks the fourth consecutive season all three have earned the honor together, tying South Carolina for the most alumnae selected to a single All-Star Game.

Boston and Wilson were named starters, a distinction determined by a combined vote of fans, media and current WNBA players — a format that rewards both performance and popularity. Gray, meanwhile, earned her spot as a reserve through a separate process: the league’s 15 head coaches each voted for three guards, five frontcourt players and four at-large selections, regardless of conference, with coaches barred from voting for their own players. That distinction matters, since reserve selections tend to reflect how a player is viewed by rival coaches rather than public sentiment alone — arguably a tougher bar to clear.

The numbers behind each selection back up the recognition. Wilson, now an eight-time All-Star, leads the WNBA in scoring at 29.0 points per game on 52.4 percent shooting, while ranking third in rebounding (9.4 per game) and first in blocks (2.0 per game) — a stat line that places her firmly in the conversation for another MVP-caliber season. Boston is putting together a career year of her own, averaging a personal-best 17.1 points on 50.4 percent shooting, alongside top-10 finishes in both rebounding (8.6, 10th) and blocks (1.3, 12th). Gray’s case is built on efficient scoring volume, posting a career-high 18.5 points per game, good for 13th in the league, and enough to secure her fourth straight All-Star nod.

The All-Star Game will anchor a three-day slate of league events in Chicago. The festivities kick off Thursday with WNBA Live presented by AWS at McCormick Place, followed by the Kia WNBA Shooting Stars and State Farm WNBA 3-Point Contest on Friday, July 24 at Wintrust Arena (ESPN, 8 p.m. ET), before the main event Saturday.

Beyond the three All-Stars, South Carolina’s pipeline into the WNBA remains one of the deepest in the league. Nine additional Gamecocks are currently on active rosters: Kamilla Cardoso (14.6 ppg, 8.7 rpg – Chicago Sky), Zia Cooke (7.6 ppg – Seattle Storm), Madina Okot (5.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg – Atlanta Dream), Bree Hall (5.0 ppg – Indiana Fever), Raven Johnson (4.3 ppg, 1.8 apg – Indiana Fever), Te-Hina Paopao (4.2 ppg, 1.6 apg – Atlanta Dream), Laeticia Amihere (3.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg – Golden State Valkyries), Tyasha Harris (2.9 ppg, 1.8 apg – Indiana Fever) and Sania Feagin (Portland Fire). Twelve former Gamecocks on active WNBA rosters, with three heading to Chicago as All-Stars, is a clear marker of how deeply Dawn Staley’s program continues to shape the league’s talent pool well beyond Columbia.
