Aliyah Boston Extends With Unrivaled, Eyeing Another DPOY Campaign This Winter
YSouth Carolina alum Aliyah Boston has committed to another busy offseason, signing a multi-year deal to return to Unrivaled for her third season in the 3-on-3 winter league. The news comes as Boston continues balancing an already packed professional calendar, having previously worked as a studio analyst for the Big Ten Network during past offseasons.
Boston enters this Unrivaled stint as the league’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year, coming off a season where she earned second-team All-Unrivaled honors and finished as the league’s fourth-leading rebounder — production that helped push her Phantom team to the No. 1 overall seed heading into last year’s postseason.
The move comes in the middle of an already strong fourth WNBA season for Boston. A four-time All-Star starter, she’s putting up career-best numbers across the board: 17.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.7 combined steals and blocks per game, while shooting an efficient 52.4% from the field, 41.7% from three, and 82.4% from the free-throw line. Her Indiana Fever currently sit at the No. 5 overall playoff seed, having already clinched a postseason berth and sitting just one game back of the 3-seed.
Before Unrivaled tips off, though, Boston has one more major commitment on her plate — she’ll suit up for the U.S. at the 2026 FIBA World Cup in Berlin, running September 4-13, alongside fellow South Carolina legend A’ja Wilson, giving the two former Gamecocks another chance to represent their country together on the international stage before their club seasons resume.
