“Gamecock Champion Goes Global! Bree Hall Takes Her Talents Overseas After WNBA Rookie Season”

Former Gamecock Star Bree Hall Takes Flight Overseas with ProBuild ITM Mainland Pouākai

Former South Carolina standout Bree Hall is spreading her wings internationally after being announced as the newest addition to the ProBuild ITM Mainland Pouākai of the Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa League in New Zealand.

The Indiana Fever rookie, known for her relentless energy and defensive prowess, will make her debut in the Tauihi League as she continues to develop her game during the WNBA offseason. Hall joins the Pouākai with a decorated résumé — a two-time NCAA National Champion with the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, where she became one of Dawn Staley’s most reliable two-way players.

Hall was selected 20th overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, earning praise for her defensive instincts, shooting consistency, and fierce competitiveness. In her first professional season, Hall showcased the same attributes that made her a Gamecock favorite — toughness, athleticism, and a high basketball IQ.

Pouākai head coach Alex Stojkovic expressed excitement about the signing, emphasizing Hall’s championship experience and versatility.

“It’s great to finally have Bree here with us,” Stojkovic said. “She’s a high-character, two-way player who’s going to elevate our defense and bring real energy at both ends of the floor. Bree is athletic, can push the pace in transition, and is more than capable from the three-point line, while also being able to attack the rim. She’s a competitor with championship experience, and that mindset will immediately raise our team’s standard.”

Hall’s move marks another significant milestone in her young career. Her transition from the SEC powerhouse Gamecocks to the Fever and now the international stage reflects her commitment to growth and her desire to compete year-round at the highest level.

As she gears up for her Tauihi League debut, fans can expect the same fearless energy and defensive intensity that made her a key contributor to South Carolina’s dominance in women’s college basketball.

With Hall now part of the Pouākai lineup, the team is expected to gain a major boost both on and off the court — adding a proven winner, a versatile scorer, and a passionate leader who embodies the “Fly Fearless” spirit.
