South Carolina’s Full 2026-27 Schedule Is Here — Paris Opener, Loaded Non-Conference Slate Highlight the Year
South Carolina women’s basketball has released its complete 2026-27 schedule, giving Gamecock fans a full picture of what’s ahead for Dawn Staley’s squad. Fans get their first look at the team well before the regular season, with an outdoor exhibition against College of Charleston on Sunday, September 27. The real season, however, opens on a much bigger stage — South Carolina’s first official game comes November 2 against Maryland in Paris as part of the Oui Play event, meaning the Gamecocks won’t play their first home game at Colonial Life Arena until November 17 against Florida Gulf Coast.
The non-conference schedule is stacked with marquee names. South Carolina will face North Carolina, Southern Cal, UConn, and Duke through a mix of multi-team events and neutral-site matchups, giving the team significant early tests before conference play even begins. One of the season’s new additions is the PowHer Player Classic, hosted at Colonial Life Arena over Thanksgiving weekend — the Gamecocks play Tennessee State on Saturday, November 28, followed by either NC Central or Alabama A&M on Sunday, November 29.
SEC play opens New Year’s Eve at home against Alabama. This year’s conference home-and-home pairing brings Oklahoma to Columbia on January 14, with the return trip to Norman set for February 8. Beyond that pairing, South Carolina hosts Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, and Texas A&M at Colonial Life Arena, while traveling to Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Texas.
The full slate includes several other notable stops, including a trip to Duke as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge on December 3, and the Players Era Championship in Las Vegas on December 19-20 against opponents still to be determined. Specific tip times and broadcast details for the season remain to be announced.
