Four-Star PG Taylor Brown Sets Official Visit Schedule, South Carolina Among Finalists
Taylor Brown, the No. 30 overall prospect in the 2027 class, has finalized her official visit schedule, with South Carolina securing a spot among her top programs. The four-star point guard out of LUHI has locked in visits to Tennessee, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
Brown’s visit tour began earlier this summer with a trip to Tennessee on June 25. She’ll resume her official visits with back-to-back stops in September, heading to Virginia Tech on September 3, followed by South Carolina on September 19. Brown will wrap up her visit schedule with a trip to North Carolina on October 3.
South Carolina’s inclusion places Brown among a growing group of top-tier point guard prospects the Gamecocks are pursuing in the 2027 class, joining names like Kaylor Buse, Jezelle “GG” Banks, and Zaniya Johnson, all of whom have set or completed official visits to Columbia this fall. With Dawn Staley’s program continuing to rebuild its backcourt following Maddy McDaniel’s departure, adding a point guard of Brown’s caliber would further strengthen an already stacked group of guard targets in this recruiting cycle.
With her full visit schedule now set, Brown’s recruitment enters its decisive stretch over the coming weeks, giving each of her four finalists — Tennessee, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and North Carolina — a chance to make their final pitch before she moves toward a decision.
