South Carolina Women’s Basketball to Open 2026-27 Season in Paris Against Maryland
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina women’s basketball team is heading back to the City of Lights. Complete Sports Management announced that the Gamecocks will return to Paris, France, to open their 2026-27 season against Maryland on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the Adidas Arena.
South Carolina made history in 2023 by participating in the inaugural Oui Play event, which marked the first college basketball games ever played in Paris. Since then, Oui Play has expanded into a doubleheader showcase and now takes place in the 9,000-seat Adidas Arena, a venue that debuted in 2024 and served as a host site for the Paris Olympic Games that same summer.
This time around, the event will feature two high-profile matchups — South Carolina vs. Maryland and North Carolina vs. Oklahoma. Ticket details will be announced at a later date.

Once again, Gamecock fans will have the chance to experience the trip in style with exclusive VIP packages now available. Priced at $1,500 per person, the package includes a VIP game ticket with access to hospitality suites before and during halftime, a private Seine River Dinner Cruise with the team, an additional VIP meal, and transportation to all scheduled activities throughout Paris. Events for the package will run from October 29 through November 2.
Meanwhile, back home in Columbia, the No. 2-ranked Gamecocks are set to tip off their 2025-26 campaign tonight at Colonial Life Arena, facing Grand Canyon University at 7 p.m. The matchup will be streamed live on SEC Network+ as part of South Carolina’s season-opening three-game homestand.
