“It’s Back On! South Carolina vs. UConn Set for 2026 Showdown in Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase — A Rivalry Too Big to Miss!”

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Another epic showdown is set. South Carolina women’s basketball will face UConn in the 13th annual Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase on Nov. 24, 2026, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced. Fans can mark their calendars now — tickets will be available starting September 2026.

The matchup continues one of the fiercest rivalries in modern women’s college basketball. Between them, South Carolina and UConn have claimed four of the last eight national championships, with Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks owning three of those titles. The two programs have squared off at least once in each of the last 11 seasons, with South Carolina holding a 5-3 edge over the last six meetings. They’ve also met twice on the sport’s biggest stage — the NCAA Championship game — splitting the victories.

This won’t be South Carolina’s first appearance at the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase. The Gamecocks took part in the 2023 event, where they defeated No. 11 Utah 78–69 in a dominant performance that showcased the program’s depth and defensive intensity.

The 2026-27 campaign is already shaping up to be a global one for the reigning powerhouse. Before their clash with UConn, South Carolina will head to Paris for the Oui Play event, taking on Maryland on Nov. 2 at Adidas Arena.

In the meantime, the current No. 2/2 Gamecocks continue their early-season homestand. They’ll host Bowling Green on Friday, Nov. 7, at Colonial Life Arena with tipoff set for 7 p.m. on SEC Network+, before capping off the stretch with an in-state rivalry showdown against Clemson on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.

The countdown to another South Carolina–UConn clash is officially on — and if recent history is any indicator, fans can expect nothing short of fireworks.
